Few actions generate warmer feelings than sharing resources with the people and causes dear to us.

Estate planning provides a way for us to extend that goodwill and continue our legacy of generosity for the benefit of future generations. It also is an opportunity to affirm what we value while sowing the seeds of a bright future for the people and institutions we care about.

And it’s something anyone can do! Many alumni and friends of St. Norbert College feel inspired to support the college in this way.

For example, Anne Vandeveld Danen ’82 and her husband Todd ’77 arranged an estate gift designated to St. Norbert College.

Anne shares: “Once we decided to leave a legacy gift, it was easy to set up. And since doing so, we feel very appreciated.

“We give back because of the students. We see them growing in purpose and meaning through their SNC experiences. It is very satisfying to be donors — knowing that we’ll be helping future students — and also to know that there are others like us who are so passionate about St. Norbert College, this place of Catholic education that changes lives.”

Like Anne and Todd, are you compelled to make an impact by including St. Norbert College in your estate plans?

A good place to start is with two new resources that are free to download — our Legacy Giving Guide and Personal Estate Planner. Together, they will outline the fundamentals of legacy giving and help you start organizing your estate, protecting your assets and establishing a meaningful legacy.

In addition, Kevin LeBeau can be a real help in navigating the process, and would be happy to start a conversation with you. Please feel free to reach out by sending a message to kevin.lebeau@snc.edu or by calling 920-403-4059.

One last thing to know: If you have already included St. Norbert College in your will or trust, or as a beneficiary of a retirement account such as an IRA, please reach out and let Kevin LeBeau know. Then we can see to it that the college formally shares its thanks!
